For over thirty-eight years, he has been involved in the ministry wearing various hats as an evangelist, pastor, and Christian counselor. He has counseled thousands of individuals dealing with issues spanning from Christian growth, relationships, and the challenging complexities of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse.

Dr. Woodard’s itinerary contributions include ten published books that reflect his wisdom and insights garnered from years of pastoral and counseling experiences.

In June of 2008, Dr. Woodard assumed the role of pastor at Beacon Baptist Church in Salem VA, where he faithfully shepherded the congregation until January, 2024. While serving at Beacon Baptist Church, he simultaneously co-founded Candlestick Light to Haiti, an organization dedicated to operating an orphanage in Maissade, Haiti.

His commitment to international missions is further evidenced by his role as the founder of Life Relationships, a unique ministry addressing revival and providing assistance in family, church, life, and business relationships.
